The fellowship honors the memory of Past New York District Gov. Anthony J. "Tony" Palangi. Tony joined the Kiwanis club of Glens Falls in 1966 and served as club president in

1972-73.


Tony worked extensively in the areas of new club building and sponsored youth. He served as New York District Governor in 1982-83.


A long-time member of the district Foundation Board, he served as Sponsored Youth/Service Leadership Chair until his passing in October of 2007.

Kiwanis Member

The New York District Kiwanis Foundation Tony Palangi Service Leadership Fellowship provides an opportunity for any Kiwanis Family Club (K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, Circle K, Aktion Club or Kiwanis Club) as well as individual members to recognize the service and accomplishments of Service Leadership Club members. Service Leadership Clubs may also use the award to honor Kiwanians.

 

Fellows will receive a lapel pin and certificate of recognition. The club who makes the donation will receive a banner patch for their club. This fellowship may also be used to honor a Service Leadership Club. In this case, the club may receive up to five (5) lapel pins and a banner patch.

 

All donations made through the Tony Palangi Service Leadership Fellowship Program will be used to support Kamp Kiwanis and/or send deserving Kampers to Kamp. Just click on the button to the right for the application sheet.
